Patricia Daley, President, Daley Policy Group, LLC, is a veteran in the political arena. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Ms. Daley began her career at the ripe age of 10 years old. She started with precinct work in the 18th Ward in Chicago and spent over 15 years working on Illinois campaigns. In 1989, Ms. Daley began her legislative career working for Congressman Tom Downey (D-NY). After leaving the hill; she entered the world of state and local representation. She has represented state and local interests before Congress and Federal agencies on transportation, telecommunications, environmental, and housing issues for more than 25 years. Ms. Daley’s work encompasses a wide variety of activities on behalf of clients from legislative and grassroots representation to securing government funding. Ms. Daley has represented various local interests such as, the City of DeKalb and in this time has secured over $40 million in federal funding for the City, DeKalb County, Georgia securing $30 million, the City of Akron, Ohio securing over $28 million.
Ms. Daley’s experience on transportation issues ranges from working with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in securing Airport Improvement Program funding for various airports to working with the Department of Transportation on surface transportation issues. Due to the continued success of Ms. Daley’s representation of the DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport, in 2000 and 2006, the airport received the state of Illinois “airport of the year” award. Ms. Daley has represented various clients on issues ranging from: surface transportation funding, COPS program, Combined Sewer Overflows, veterans, senior centers, alternative energy and special needs education funding for the past twenty years. Her knowledge and expertise has been recognized by Congressional members as a leader in state and local representation. Her grassroots strategy includes active involvement with the United States Conference of Mayors (USCM), National League of Cities (NLC), and the National Association of County Officials (NACO).
