Isabelle Ausdal is originally from Milan, Illinois (IL-17), where she and her family managed a small sheep production operation. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in December 2018 with a BS in Agricultural Economics with a focus in Public Policy and Law and a double minor in Communications and Leadership Studies. She is currently pursuing her Master of Legal Studies (MLS) degree at American University’s Washington College of Law and an Environmental Policy and International Development certificate at Harvard.
She currently works as a policy analyst at Strategic Conservation Solutions, specializing in environmental and agricultural sustainability. Her previous work experience includes serving as the undergraduate assistant to Dean Kimberlee Kidwell, a marketing intern for John Deere and a law clerk for a small intellectual property law firm in Champaign. She has a strong interest in conservation agriculture, rural development and governmental affairs.
