Amy Tenhouse joined Molina Healthcare in September 2008 as Director of Policy in the Washington D.C. office. In September 2015, Amy was promoted to Associate Vice President of Government Affairs. In this role, Amy serves as a federal lobbyist for Molina, engaging in political activity and lobbying Members of Congress in support of MHI policy priorities. She also works closely with the Molina health plan in Illinois, working with plan leadership to direct political advocacy in the states.
Prior to joining Molina, Amy worked for the Senate Budget Committee where she served as health policy advisor to the committee’s Ranking Member, U.S. Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH). Previously, Amy worked as the Legislative Director for U.S. Representative Kay Granger (R-TX) as well as Legislative Assistant for health care issues to former Congressman and House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-IL).
Active in the community, Amy is a member of the Leadership Arlington Class of 2011 and served as the 2015 state president of the Virginia Jaycees (Junior Chamber of Commerce). Amy also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Wesleyan University Alumni Association.
A native of Camp Point, Illinois, Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from Illinois Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University.
